Before we agree to accept a case and before clients agree to hire us, we recommend a consultation with the lawyer who will be representing you. A fee of $250 is charged for consultations in Family Law and Employment Law cases. There are no consultation fees for Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, and Social Security Disability cases. Personal Injury cases are generally taken on a contingent fee basis, meaning that there is no attorney fee unless you recover compensation. Attorney fees in Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability cases must be approved by the North Carolina Industrial Commission or the Social Security Administration.
- Consultations are scheduled for thirty minutes but can be extended if the case is complex or involves detailed fact situations.
- If we agree to accept your case and you agree to retain our legal services, the fee arrangement will be discussed and agreed upon during the consultation.

Our office is at the intersection of Charlotte Street and College Street in downtown Asheville. It is one block behind the Buncombe County Courthouse and adjacent to the First Baptist Church.
